Exchange Server
This updates the article at:

Exchange Server for Not Yet Techies

The current version is Microsoft Exchange Server
2003.

The Radicati Group, Inc. recently came out with a white
paper detailing the market for business messaging
software Microsoft Exchange from 2000 to the present
and projecting the outlook through 2009. In 2004, their
market share was 43%.

Exchange Server Service Pack 2 is scheduled for release
in late 2005.

Also, now Exchange Server 2003 includes Outlook
Mobile Access and Exchange Server ActiveSync, which used to be
found in Microsoft Mobile Information ServerĀ 2002.

On July 20, 2005, Microsoft announced it was acquiring FrontBridge
Technologies. This affects Exchange Server because they are
a provider of secure messaging services -- so no doubt their
technologies will be added to Exchange Server to increase its
security and provide better service to the customers.

.NET Enterprise Server
This updates the article at:

.NET Enterprise Server for Not Yet Techies

Microsoft apparently no longer carries .NET
Enterprise Server technology under that name.
Either it is out of date or, more likely,
subsumed or transmutated into some other
technology under a new name.

When I feed .NET Enterprise Server into their
site's search engine, the most recent article
on it is dated about 2001.
