CCDA
This updates my article at:

CCDA for Not Yet Techies

The Cisco career path (or track) which requires the Cisco
Certified Design Associate (CCDA) is now called the
Network Engineering and Design track.

According to Cisco, this track shows "expertise for design
professionals who work with traditional Cisco technology-based
networks where LAN and WAN routers and LAN switches
predominate."

The test you are now required to pass to obtain a CCDA
is 640-861 DESGN. It lasts 75 minutes and consists of
55 to 65 questions.

It is available in English and Japanese and from Pearson
VUE or Prometric.

DESGN 640-861 contains questions covering 3 major areas:

Analysis
Modeling
Planning

You can learn more details about the topics covered at:

Cisco CCDA

Once you pass, your certification is good for three years.
