Programming is for "adaptive programming," a special
case of it.

According to one source, IBM is working hard to
be the first company to get AOP / Aspect Oriented
Programming into commercially available software
development tools. It should be close to getting
it into its WebSphere line of products, and is
supporting AspectJ.

Sun MicroSystems and BEA Systems, Inc are also
working with AOP / Aspect Oriented Programming.

According to another story, IBM and JBoss are
working together to make AOP / Aspect Oriented
programming an essential element of Java, to
undercut the growing popularity of Microsoft's
C# for .NET.
