Bash Shell
This updates the article at:

Bash Shell for Not Yet Techies

Current version of the Bash shell is bash-3.0. It
is the default command shell on most distributions
of Linux.

Bash shell is also gaining ground as the preferred
interactive for Solaris.

awk
This updates the article at:

awk for Not Yet Techies

I have been unable to unearth any relevant news
on awk. The sites devoted to it are obviously
run by geeks and look like HTML 1.0 in 1995.
Very techie stuff. If there are any significant
updates, they're buried in the lists of file
sizes.

Asynchronous Transfer Mode
This updates the article at:

ATM / Asynchronous Transfer Mode for Not Yet Techies

In July 2004, the MPLS & Frame Relay Alliance
and The ATM Forum announced a plan to form
a single organization. Its purpose will be
"to advance the deployment of multi-vendor,
multi-service, packet-based networks,
associated applications and interworking
solutions."

That is the best update I could come up with
on ATM / Asynchronous Transfer Mode.
