Fortran
This updates the article at:

Fortran for Not Yet Techies

The current version in use is Fortran 95.

However, the latest revision has been announced and approved --
it's Fortran 2003. It's much larger than the 1995 revision
but not as large as the 1990 one.

With this revision it supports object oriented programming and
interoperability with C.

These standards are produced by X3J3, which is a subcommittee
of ANSI / American National Standards Instiute dedicated to Fortran.
Actually WG5 has responsibility for Fortran on an international
basis, but has asked X3J3 to do the actual work.

WG5 is a subcommitte of the ISO / International Standards
Organization, dedicated to Fortran.

Also, the GNU FORTRAN 95 compiler Gfortran will be part of gcc-4.0 when released.
