This updates the article at:

AppleScript for Not Yet Techies

The big news right now in AppleScript is the upcoming new
version of its operating system, Mac OS X 10.4 -- nicknamed
Tiger -- which is expected to ship on April 29. Of course,
the version of AppleScript included with this will be updated
and expanded.

You can use AppleScript's GUI scripting architecture to control
the menus, windows and dialog boxes of applications that don't
directly support the scripting language.

With AppleScript in Tiger, you'll be able to execute scripts on
a set schedule or at any specified time of the day or week.

Other new features include:

AppleScript Utility

Code Sense

Dictionary Viewer

Data Events Suite

Property List Suite

System Info Command

Secure Display Dialog

Improved Display Alert

Before that, the previous update to AppleScript occurred
in 2003 with Panther -- nickname for Mac OS X 10.3.
