Adobe Certifications
This is an update to my article at:
Adobe Certifications for Not Yet Techies
Adobe has added two additional levels to its Adobe Certified
Expert (ACE) program. You still start off with the Ace
certification for each particular Adobe product. You must pass
one exam for that.
The next level is ACE Specialist. This focuses on specific media.
ACE Specialist designations are available in Print, Web and Video.
You must pass all of the required ACE exams covering each
particular medium, plus one elective exam.

To become certified as an ACE Master, you must pass the
exam for each of the products in the suite. For example to
get the ACE, Creative Suite Master, you must pass the
tests for Acrobat, GoLive, Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
Adobe ACE exams are administered by Pearson VUE and
Thomson Prometric. They consist of 60 to 90 multiple-choice
questions and take about one to two hours.
Adobe has also introduced its new teaching certification,
the Adobe Certified Instructor (ACI). To earn this you
must have one other teaching certification (such as from
Chauncey, Novell Certified Instructor (CNI) or Microsoft
Certified Trainer (MCT).
You are then qualified to teach any software product
for which you have also passed the particular ACE exam.
