CompTIA released a new CTT+ exam effective September 9, 2003. The prior test dated back to 2001. This credential tests your ability as a technical instructor.
The CTT+ covers these domains:
1.0 Planning Prior to the Course -- 13%
2.0 Methods and Media for Instructional Delivery -- 14%
3.0 Instructor Credibility and Communications -- 9%
4.0 Group Facilitation -- 45%
5.0 Evaluate the Training Event -- 18%
You must pass two tests:
TK0-201 -- computer based
TK0-202 -- video of you teaching
The minimum passing score for the computer test is 655 points. You have 90 minutes to complete 95 questions.
You must take and pass the computer based exam first, then you will be told how to submit your video presentation.
The minimum score for the video exam is 36. You must also cover all the competencies in your video, which should be about 20 minutes long.
