The major change here has come with the introduction of
Microsoft's .NET Framework and the many changes and
additions associated with it. It's a comprehensive
plan that encompasses all their software.

They came out with a very different version of Visual
Basic -- now called VB.NET -- for it. Plus created two
new languages, C# (C Sharp) and J# (J Sharp) for it, to
attract C and Java programmers.

So software development using Microsoft technologies is
now much different than it was prior to .NET.

You must pass 3 required core tests and 1 elective.
