CompTIA Linux+ Certification
This is an update to the article:
CompTIA Linux+ for Not Yet Techies
The current Linux+ exam consists of 94 identification
and multiple choice questions, takes
90 minutes and has a passing score is 655 on a scale of
100 to 900. It's available in English, German and
Japanese. The exam code is XK0-001.
CompTIA has just announced it will soon be updating the Linux+
exam. You can take the beta version of this new exam for only $75
by signing up through December 31, 2004.
The new exam changes over 75% of the topics covered and
knowledge required from the current exam. This reflects
the growth of Linux and related job tasks.
This 2004 Linux+ exam covers both workstations and servers:
Basic installation (19%)
Configuration (20%)
Operational management and Maintenance (26%)
Security (21%)
Documentation (6%)
Hardware (8%).
The new, beta version code is -- ID# XK1-002.
