There were actual electric guitars, not just an accoustic guitar with a pickup installed, as in the 1950s. That decade saw a huge advance in the technology, from primitive amplifiers to huge Marshall amps and the wah-wah pedal. Of course the technology is still advancing. Now you can get hold of the aqua puss which can really improve the sound of the music you make on stage. I think it was the religious or sacrireglious aspect of The DaVinci Code which made it such a breakout bestseller. Angels and Demons involved the same guy, and religion as well, and the Vatican, but its appeal was more limited until The DaVinci Code. You can learn about contemporary fabric at FabricOnTheNet.net. The science behind The Lost Symbol was pseudoscience. At least in Angels and Demons it was real science. It's supposed to be a satire, but to me just exaggerated things too much. It's about how a con man penetrated British Intelligence and goes to Panama to find a conspiracy, and finds another con man turned tailor who makes up the conspiracy his boss wants. He's a good man who is crushed by the drive of Osnard's determination, and how it encourages another attack on Panama at the end. There are no Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Jobs in the book. Yesterday I watched an episode of the old Steve Allen TV show, which featured a 22 year old Frank Zappa "playing" the bicycle as a musical instrument. It was kind of fun, though in the end disappointing as well. I expected him to plink and plunk some kind of tune, simple but recognizable, from the bicycle. However, turns out he had Allen's TV band playing weird stuff while a tape of weird stuff played, and he had a bicycle make screeching noise while Allen did the same on another one, so it was a complete, random, avant guarde experimental musical piece. So in the end it wasn't entertaining to me. It just reveals Zappa was experimenting with music and sound even before he grew his hair long and let his beard grow, before jansport and the Mothers came along.

On Skidster

So I've been able to put all the plays and poems of Shakespeare, including plays he may or may not have written, and Charles Dickens, Mark Twain, HP Lovecraft, Edgar Allan Poe, and Rudyard Kipling, not to mention all the Baum Oz books, individual works by Lord Dunsany, William Hope Hodgsdon, Robert Lewis Stevenson, and maybe more I've forgotten. There are some collections of 18th century horror novels I should get as well, now that I think of it. My greed for books has kicked in again. The good thing is that, unlike the rest of my life, they're now taking up only hard drive space on my Kindle, not physical space on shelves and in boxes I have to haul around with me whenever I live somewhere new, and then mostly stay there because I don't have time to dig them out and read them. I'd been putting it off, because I really want to watch them only to study Tagalog, and they don't say they have English subtitles, but last night I wasn't concentrating on my work, so I decided I'd still get some knowledge of Tagalog just from hearing it. Turns out the movie does have English subtitles. Unfortunately, just as I didn't see a menu option to turn them on, I didn't see one to turn them off. Maybe I will if I look better, knowing that the subtitles are there. My plan was to watch it several times without subtitles, try to figure out what was going on, then watch it with subtitles, then go back to without subtitles, and switch back and forth until I could really understand it. Maybe I don't have the best laptop computers, because the picture was stretched too far to the horizontal making all the characters look as though they'd been bred for a 2 gee planet.

On easy guitar songs

One thing that Without Remorse reminded me of is how sympathetic Clancy is to America's biggest Cold War enemy -- the Soviet Union. Not sympathetic in the sense of being a communist or being soft on communism or the USSR, but sympathetic in understanding how many people caught in that system were just people, with worthwhile values and honor. The Soviet in this novel is portrayed as genuinely concerned with the defense of the rodina, the Russian homeland. He was forced to flee Moscow as a child and suffered many hardships. However, he has no sympathy or understanding of the Vietnamese. And his portrayal of urban Mafia and gangsters in the US is questionable. Pimps do often beat their prostitutes, but few are anything like the one in this book. A must read for anyone who thinks the 60s were just about easy guitar songs.

On doument imaging software

I recently finished the Tom Clancy book Without Remorse, and consider it one of his better ones. It is part of the Jack Ryan "universe," but doesn't have Ryan in it at all, unless you count a brief scene of him as a teenager with his father. In fact, his father has a significant role, as he's a police detective in Baltimore when John Kelly begins a campaign against local drug lord and pimp. One thread is left hanging at the end, which I wonder if it was ever completed. But under the name of John Clark Kelly becomes an important regular in the Jack Ryan series. I have to wonder if either of them ever realized what Ryan's father did. The books are long, and I don't keep track of the details from book to book, because I let a long time go by between reading them, because they're so long I want to read other authors. You don't need document imaging software to understand this novel.

On send retirement gifts

Now is not the time to send me any send retirement gifts. I felt a little weird about it when I left my job with the federal government, but it was after over 30 years, so I guess it deserved a little celebration. But of course that night I still reported for duty to my pizza delivery job with Domino's, and would still be there if I were still living in that city, though I'm not. Now I work full time for myself. Can't say I get in 80 hours, but I work as much as I can with the other things I have to do. I can't say I particularly want to stop, ever. Slow down, yes -- take more days off, yes, but stop and just smell the flowers or play golf or do lawn work, no. I got a glimpse of many retired people when I stayed with my mother, and though they stay busy, I still want to be active. I would like the time to exercise regularly though.

On quick flower delivery

When it comes to quick flower delivery, I remember the several times I delivered flowers for a local supermarket chain on Valentine's Day. I heard about such work from a co-worker who had been doing it for years for a local florist. He'd take off from work on Valentine's Day, and, increasingly, for other such holidays, such as Mother's Day and Christmas when people send a lot of flowers. It was pretty simple on the whole. I just had to get up very early in the morning to report in and be given a zip code, then load up my car with as many of the flowers as possible. Since I had a small car, that wasn't nearly as many as some of the people who had SUVs and so on. I also had to be very careful as some of them were in glass and some were in water. So inevitably I got some water and dirt spilled in my car.

On eyelash growth products

Early this month I was speaking with my sister on the telephone. She lives just outside Boston, and she mentioned that someone had forecast snow for them by Halloween, and I said it seemed pretty early for that. Early for snow even for Boston, and early to be predicting it, because this was early in the month. Well, now we know that it was accurate. The Northeast has gotten a bad snow storm a few days before Halloween. I guess there won't be much trick or treating around that area, so no need for eyelash growth products among people trying that as part of their costumes. I guess it must have messed up a lot of adult Halloween parties as well, assuming they'd have been scheduled on Saturday night. The Friday night ones must be all right.

On Computer Operator jobs

On the other hand, I think Hollywood did a pretty good job with Elmore Leonard's novel 52 Pickup. It was the first book of his that I read, and I thought it was terrific. It's also the only movie of his books that I've watched, and it's good, and pretty faithful to the original. It had all the virtues Get Shorty lacks. A good guy who's flawed but not a crook. Realism. Bad guys who seem to have a lot more power than they really do. They take on a good guy who's a lot stronger than they are. In Get Shorty the loan shark is smarter and tougher than the bad guys who take him on, and it's almost too easy for him to get of the bad guy. I wouldn't give him any Computer Operator Jobs, but he's the first Leonard criminal character who is not defeated by his own flaws.

On slr camera

The author's mother was killed by a stranger about eleven years after the Dahlia murder (which in real life has never been solved), and so the author has identified with both murders. And I guess the rich family in his novel is entirely fictional, or perhaps based on a true one. The famous Hollywood sign did originally read Hollywoodland and was intended to promote a housing development of that name. Apparently the author's own psychosexual life is dominated by the two murders, of the Dahlia and his mother, and so he transferred that necrophilia to the main character. I just never understood what character weakness made him want to find his own meaning in life through the Dahlia. In those days they didn't have a slr camera.

On motorhome repairs

I never really got why the author and some readers consider Bucky such a good guys, though I did admire his persistence at the end. And he/the author is upfront at the beginning, telling you upfront he betrayed his Japanese childhood friends (though this is sort of unclear - all Japanese had to go to the camps during World War 2, so I don't see precisely how Bucky ratted them out. How would they have escaped anyway? Lived in an attic like Anne Franke? So I didn't quite get how or why Madelaine attracted him so much because she looked like Black Dahlia. It was necrophilia as he's accused of later. And I didn't quite understand his final dilemma. He did hide his tailing of Madelaine, but that hardly seems like enough of a violation to ruin his career given him actually finding the Dahlia's killer. This is a time when cops are taking bribes and beating up suspects and winos on the street and so on. Even if he performed motorhome repairs, it wouldn't seem enough of a problem given everything else the cops were getting away with. And he'd discovered one cop who was extorting money from crooks - and his fellow cops hated him for it.

On Crown Metal Buildings

Recently most of my business reading has been Excel 2007, The Manual Not Included, which is a series of techie books about various software programs that are intended to be the manual which software producers no longer want to print up. In a way I can understand, given the cost and that they go out of date quickly because of small updates, and people can now access help files online, and those can be updated immediately as soon as the software itself, though I expect it's not. Still, there's something satisfying about having a book in your hands that you can look through to try to find what you want or just get an overall glimpse of the software's functions and potentials, though I never use half of what any program can do, and don't expect to use any of the bells and whistles on Excel. Still, it's time I left crown metal buildings and learned something about spreadsheets, though it doesn't tell me how to use it for what I want. I will need to customize my own.

On Porsche mats

It's a weird thing to see an AP picture of a typhoon and notice its location is not far from where you stay. Typhoon Nanmadol is described as hitting the Northern Philippines. I guess that includes where I am, since even though I'm south of Manila there's still a lot of miles of Philippines south of me. But apparently this location is as sheltered as I once read, because all we've gotten is a lot of rain. Not even any power blackouts yet. One of my kids was in a school singing contest yesterday and that was held. Other kids are in a school program today, so I hope that is being held. As I now recall, there was wind last night, but nothing damaging, not like a lot of storms I recall in St Louis area. Amazon has gotten very strict about Private label Rights works in Kindle. They now block those that are submitted to them. Not only that, they're apparently going through their inventory and pulling out the PLR works already there. Though some people say that when they search the Kindle store they still see a lot of duplicate works which look like PLR, so maybe the process isn't over. They don't need jewelry tools. What's kind of sick is that one of the marketers who sells an expensive how to spam Kindle service chimes in on the discussions about how he saw it coming and isn't it a great thing, even though on his webinar he taught people to just upload PLR books in large quantity. I have to wonder if he still has the large monthly income he's been claiming, or even if he still has his account. If I were Kindle I'd close him down 100%.

On 25th anniversary gifts from husband

When to receiving 25th anniversary gifts from husband, I figure by that time the woman must have figured out how to tell her husband what she wants. If they don't have that much communication, how they'd last 25 years? Or maybe they've lasted that long because they don't communicate much. I couldn't know, since my marriage didn't reach the seventh year, thank goodness. Still, it is a special occasion so all smart husbands must either have experience at figuring out or learning from their wives what she wants for that 25th wedding anniversary. It would not be a good time to guess on your own. At least, I always found that when I guessed, I guessed wrong. But maybe that's why I didn't reach seven years of marriage.

On where can I buy a digital tuner

If you're asking where can I buy a digital tuner, I'll relate my small story of last week needing to buy a new mouse for the laptop. I'd never paid attention, but there's a small little clear plastic button that lights up red when it's operating, and something that was broken, yet it could be moved over manually so it worked, but only for a short time. So eventually we figured out that we should just buy a new one. So I went to a store in the mall that clearly sold computers, and asked if they had a mouse like the old one. They didn't, but they had another kind of mouse for laptops, and it was very cheap, so I bought it.

On fat burners

I went out yesterday morning for my first walk in two or three walks. Unfortunately, because now is the rainy season, there was no sunshine. Fortunately the rain was only a drizzle, so I kept it off with the umbrella. Sometimes it even stopped, but at least it wasn't a major downpour like this morning when I walked to the main street to catch my public transportation to my work site. It felt good to be out walking and thinking and trying to clear out my mind and emotions a little bit. And I was about to think of a good idea for my Facebook fan page. I need to get away to think of things like that. And though walking isn't one of the greatest fat burners, it's still healthy exercise and I wish I were out every day.

On RIM Blackberry accessories

But the most outrageous thing about Shibumi is how Trevanian so utterly glosses over the issue of war crimes. The postwar tribunals are portrayed as oppressing the poor Japanese commanders who were simply following the orders of their emperor, and then the Allies win and impose alien values on them. What a total load of BS! The Japanese military committed horrendous crimes against civilian populations -- torture, mass murder, rape, and on and on. They killed millions of Chinese, Indochinese, Filipinos, Koreans and South Sea islanders. In many cases they violated their own military regulations so let's not talk about alien values. To call treating civilians decently an alien value is pretty racist to me. In fact, he tries to assert that the Japanese -- at least Nicholas' fictional benefactor -- did treat civilians well. You don't need any RIM BlackBerry accessories to learn how that the Japanese military were the barbarians. It'd be even better if I were still a candidate for http://www.howtoremovepimples.org, but that time is long past, so now I need to exercise to keep myself fit for a very long time yet. Too many older people suffer from sarcopenia, which means they lose muscle mass, affecting their strength of course but also the rest of the body's metabolism, because you need to have a certain amount of muscle mass. And also by exercising you stress your bones some, which is what they need to avoid losing calcium and you getting osteoporosis.

On Manhattan accident lawyer

I lived in a city with a law firm for personal injuries that ran a lot of radio commercials for their services. So when I watched the movie PHILADELPHIA I cracked up when Tom Hanks was in the bar and a TV was playing a commercial by Denzel Washington, because it was so much like the real life ads for this law firm. The only thing is that this law firm is a fairly big operation, but to make the contrast between Denzel Washington and Tom Hanks coming from a big high class law firm, they kept Washington's operation solo. He didn't even have a secretary as I recall. I'm sure a Manhattan Accident Lawyer would have a secretary as well as paralegals to do all the real work.

On garden flags

One thing my mother did last year was buy a decorative thing for her lawn that I thought was kind of crazy. It's really two wheels set in the ground on a stick, that go round and round as blown by the wind. They're brightly colored. Now here I am, and sometimes I see the same sort of wheels in lawns here as my mother had in front of her house. People have the same impulse to decorate things just for decoration. I have to admit that's not my natural inclination. If it does something useful, I'm for it. Otherwise I don't pay any attention to it, just as with garden flags, but some people want things to look pretty no matter what. It's a good thing, I'm sure. We butchered a pig and had lots of people cooking pork dishes and a dessert made out of lychee plant. Also, of course there was a videoke box and that got a lot of use. Everybody here loves to sing along. I remember when that was a popular pasttime in the United States. They'd put the words on the TV screen with a bouncing ball going from word to word in time with the music. Here there is no bouncing ball, but the words are highlighted. Sometimes they go too fast for me to follow, even though a xbox 360 hdmi cable. It took place somewhere around Persia (Iran) in ancient times, and the actors spoke English in British accents (I wouldn't have noticed if they all had American accents). At first it looked like an interesting historical costume drama, but it went downhill real fast. Two brothers attack a city and have some rivalry about it, against the wishes of their father, who is then killed by the older in a way to make people think the younger one did it, so he flees the city aided by its princess who hates all Persians and makes politically correct jokes about them. It's got a very smartass tone about it, which doesn't go well with such movies, in my opinion. I'd just as soon see the main characters get back acne treatment than see how he will wind up winning the princess and defeating his brother and becoming kind of Persia.

On step stool

I sort of half-watched, half-listened to another local movie called Manay Po, which is very different than Mano Po, however, because manay is talking about a baklat or gay man, and that's what the whole movie was about. I felt bad and needed to rest and didn't want to get up, but stopped paying much attention when I realized what it was about. I'm all for tolerance and so on for sexual preferences, but here baklats seem to be all fascinated by beauty contests. The friends all help each other remember who was the winner of past Miss Universe contests. And one man had a girlfriend while also a boyfriend, so that required a lot of drama and so on. As portrayed in comedy movies, baklats act so silly it's ridiculous. Why sit on a step stool to show your younger brother how to shave his legs? I agree with the angry mother on that one.

On ECG machines

One thing I don't understand, is why the royal wedding is described as "like a fairy tale." That seems to me to betray a huge ignorance of fairy tales. In the fairy tales I remember, when a prince finds and marries a beautiful girl, she was poor and or in some kind of dire circumstances. Princess Diana was not scrubbing the fireplace for her wicked stepsisters. This one was not wakened from a sleep of one hundred years. That's not anything against either one of them. But nice as they are, they're still from a British upper class background or the weddings wouldn't happen. If either prince had fallen love with a maid or a dishwasher in Nairobi or something, then that would be like a fairy tale. Only they wouldn't be allowed to marry so far beneath them. I don't know if there'll be any ecg machines there or not.

On secreatrophin hgh

However, I did commit the heresy and sin of stopping reading The Children of Hurin. It just isn't the same. It's told in a drier, less personal and emotional style, sort of like an old myth. It just didn't have the same appeal. Even now, just a few days later, I could barely tell you what happened. There is another Dark Lord who is gathering power, and somebody stood up to him in battle, and he has a son who is headed for doing something, and a much younger sister, but so far nothing really interesting. It makes you realize more what an accomplishment The Lord of the Rings is. It deals in myth while keeping a human touch. However, The Children of Hurin do not have any characters who need secratatropin hgh -- that is, no hobbits. It's amazing how extensively he created Middle Earth. Children of Hurin is about a time that came far before The Lord of the Rings, long before camera batteries rechargeable were invented. It's the first age, and I'm not even sure it's in what can be called Middle Earth, because apparently he developed histories and accounts of the entire world, including across the sea, which is sort of mythical in Lord of the Rings.

On Gregory Baltoro 65

The mercenaries of Carthage did not have the advantage of carrying a Gregory Baltoro 65 on their backs. They had to live off the land, especially when they were not being supplied by the city because they were in revolt against it. And in one point of the novel, the two principals in the revolt break into a temple and steal the veil of Tanit, which supposedly gave the city its power. They of course did die, though whether thanks to Tanit or not is left up to the reader to decide. If he does have a woman either he thinks he's in love or he feels guilty. Teed goes to bed with the mayor's wife, but the world punishes him for this more than he does himself. They meet in a lakeside cabin without a plantation shutter but far from the city so nobody will see them. He said there's about eight, but I've also heard the number twenty-two. And even there they change by geography. I once interviewed an old Chinese man with came into my office with a Chinese woman as translator. They seemed to understand each other until one point, they talked a lot back and forth and so I asked her why. She said that they both spoke the same language, but they grew up in different villages, so sometimes they didn't understand each other. But Chinese does have the advantage of having one written language that applies to all the spoken languages. Being there is like being on a school playground for linguists. Since they all share some background, I guess the grammar is the same, just the words are different. And they're all tonal languages.

On ephedra diet pills

Today the weather still looks sunny and warm outside. I'd heard that today might be the start of more bad winter weather coming in. At least some precipitation, which could be rain or snow depending on the temperature. I'm hoping it holds off. This house needs to have a new roof, and we've been waiting over a month now, but the roofer needs dry warm weather, and we've had cold and snow. The snow just melted off the roof last Wednesday. Friday afternoon they came by and put the piles of new shingles on top of the roof and a permit notice on the front storm door, so they're ready to go tomorrow if the weather remains nice. If not, I'll just have to keep waiting, though it feels frustrating. I'd like to give spring some ephedra diet pills so it arrives quickly. It's coming way too slowly, though I admit it's still only February and that means it's still winter.

On best supplements for weight loss

Later today there'll be an open house here, with our realtor showing this house, which belonged to my mother, to prospective buyers. Hopefully we'll get a lot of people in to see it, and hopefully at least one of them will want to buy it. I clean up for them, but don't put away the vitamin bottles on the kitchen counter. I figure, they know I'm here, it's not a mess. Maybe they'll wonder if I'm taking the best supplements for weight loss, or most likely they won't even notice or won't think anything at all if they do. Sometimes stuff seems to happen just because I'm here, and have to eat and walk and so on.

On anti-wrinkle cream

So the voice on the telephone advises Karthik how to go into the office where he worked and confront his boss, and impress him with what he knows that even the boss doesn't. For example, he points out that the contract just done (apparently by someone else) contains old legal information that will lose the firm millions of rupees. So he's hired back at four times his former salary. Then he goes after the beautiful woman, and does so at first by getting rid of her boyfriend by telling him to tell her about his wife and child in Delhi, which the coworker was keeping secret. Then he finally has the confidence to ask the woman out. He many times reverts to his shy self, but manages to get her to fall in love with him despite that. He works for construction company but is picked on by the boss and his landlord although his paperwork holds it together. He's in love with a co-worker played by Deepika Padukone who doesn't even notice him. After he's fired and she has a boyfriend, he spends days in his room but one morning when he considers taking an overdose of sleeping pills, get a phone call from a voice claiming to be him, telling him how to get his life together. He's not overweight however, so the voice doesn't tell him to go on any diets that work fast, but does send him out shopping for sharp clothes, to begin with.

On acnepril

Last night I watched a fairly good psychological thriller called Karthik Calling Karthik. It's an Indian movie, but not really a typical Bollywood movie, though there are a few singing and dancing numbers which are very underplayed and underproduced. I watched it mainly for the female lead, Deepika Padukone who is the most beautiful woman in the world. It must be a really popular movie however, because I had to wait two months for it at my local library's Asia Center where they have Bollywood and other Asian movies. I don't know whether it's because it's new and popular or many other guys are also in love with Deepika. I doubt it's too many American teens who still need to use acnepril because they're caught up only in Hollywood movies.

On Samsung cameras

It's incredible how many photographs and videos are being taken around the world now, using samsung cameras and others. And people are posting them online so the entire world can see their friends and families and their videos of their kids and so on. I know that one family video of a little girl singing posted on Youtube led to her being invited to one of those talent shows. She didn't win, but came very close - so at the age of 4 her singing career was launched. Now she's got a web site, CDs for sale and she travels and gives performances. The author of the book this fact was in basically fun of that viewpoint, and someone else who said that a few million dollars didn't go as far as it used to. And that it was crazy for people worth a million to ten million to be frightened of running out of money before they die -- and a large percentage do have that fear. I don't think it's so crazy. If you have a high expense lifestyle, and many newly successful entrepreneurs do, then $5 million dollars is not enough to live on the interest, especially at today's rates. So they're under pressure to keep working to keep the income coming in.

On my father cigars

My grandfather used to like to smoke cigars, though I never understood why. I guess it was just something he learned when young from men like the ones in Titanic who after a dinner retire to a separate room for brandy and cigars and male talk. My grandfather skipped the brandy part. Maybe he didn't when he was young, I don't know. He wasn't much of a drinker that I ever saw, and I never got the idea that he ever had been. But who knows? And he didn't make a big thing out of it, would just go out on the front porch so the smoke didn't stink up the house which my mother didn't like. I guess I either went back outside to play or into the play room to watch TV or up to my room to read. It's about a young couple on their honeymoon who happen to witness a Mafia style killing. They're staying in a resort on a lake with cabin beds, and it's fairly isolated, but there is a man staying in the cabin next to theirs. After the police question them, they decide they can't stay there any longer, so they leave and go into New York City to kill the two killers themselves. That they succeed is not really plausible. Or maybe it could have been made plausible at a greater length. Still, Block has gone on to become one of the top crime writers of our time.

On which diet pills work

I see in the news today that scientists have developed a genetically modified chicken that doesn't spread bird flu. I have to wonder how they managed that, since chickens spread bird flu by coughing and sneezing, which ejects the virus from inside them, and of course from defecating, because chicken manure will also contains lots of the virus if the chicken is infected. I can't see how they have a chicken which doesn't sneeze, let alone one that doesn't defecate when infected. Now I see - it has something in its cells which prevents the virus from replicating itself after invading the cell. No replication, no spreading. Even if they know which diet pills work, will people be willing to eat genetically modified chicken or eggs from them? Some people are scared of this, though I'm not so sure. It's a woman who builds up a great restaurant business during the Depression but manages to lose it because she's so obsessed with the person she loves. But that is not who you might expect. Although modern novels are more explicit than Cain could be in 1931s, he's come up with a delightfully perverted and twisted story, while keeping the relationship emotional rather than physical, but makes it clear what he's implying. And unlike many men, in the end she does wind up with her life and a man who really loves her, so it could have been a lot worse. So much for proactive reviews here. He was basically a crime suspense writer in the 30s and 40s who wrote books about men driven to violence by sexual obsession, usually perverse in some way, and of course they never wind up well. Body Heat was not written by him, but it could have been. I believe his most famous novel, Double Indemnity, which became a hit movie years ago was remade by Hollywood. It's about a man and a wife (not his) falling in love and then murdering his husband so she gets twice the insurance money. There's no steel drum, but of course it doesn't work out well for the man plotting to get another man's wife.

On cheap eyeglasses

Just as Dr. Barry Sears doesn't address eggs from chicken allowed to roam free and which therefore have lots more omega 3, he doesn't discuss beef from cattle that are allowed to roam free and eat grass, which makes their meat a rich source of Omega 3. The Zone diet does allow beef, but discourages eating a lot of it, especially that containing a lot of saturated fat, and does say that beef too is a source high in arachadonic acid. But Mark Sisson's article on arachadonic acid puts it into some perspective. Yes it's bad when you eat too much, but is necessary and therefore okay in moderation, so organic beef from grass fed cattle and organic eggs from free ranging chickens are okay to eat. That doesn't mean you may not eventually have to wear cheap eyeglasses, but does explain the choices we now, which Sears hasn't addressed in any of his books.

On Xbox deals

In the Primal Blueprint Mark Sisson replaces the per meal block system with counting carbohydrates but on a daily basis. Plus, unlike the Zone, which allows for small amounts of grain foods (croutons and occasional slow cooked oatmeal, and even more sometimes if necessary, such as eating half a bun with a quarter pounder if you happen to be in McDonald's, but does prefer getting vegetables and fruit as source of carbs), this discards all grain foods, all legumes and virtually all dairy. He does like eggs, so he encourages eating them, especially organic healthy eggs from grass fed chickens with lots of omega 3. Not in the book, but on his website, he's the only person I've found to address the issue of eating egg yolks despite the arachadonic acid in them which, if you know the Zone, you know that Sears does not agree with. Not the stuff of xbox deals, but Dr. Sears does not address the kinds of good eggs you can buy now even in regular supermarkets that are not the old commercial type.

On WireBind machine

Another movie I watched last night was Billu, which is a recent one from Shahrukh Khan. It's interesting that although there is a certain amount of focus on him and his acting success, most of the time the movie is about his childhood friend Billu, who is simply a barber having bad times in a small village, when Khan decides to film his latest movie there. Billu's children spread the news that their father knows Khan, and all the townspeople try to take advantage of that to get something from Billu. He himself has too much pride to want to contact Khan, and attempts to only for the sake of his kids, but Khan's personal secretary thinks he's lying and puts him off. Khan's character is even surrounded by government security agents because his last film was "controversial," so obviously he's referring to My Name is Khan. In the end, all is well even though the barber doesn't own a WireBind machine.

On bathroom lighting fixtures

I've going through a lot of hassles getting my mother's house fixed up so we can sell it. We thought everything was done, and then when the auction guys moved all her furniture out, we found water damage along the wall of her bedroom, which had been hidden by a dresser. Turns out the people she hired to put in her shower did a poor job. So we had to get that repaired, and then hire plasterers to fix up the damage of her bedroom wall and the ceiling of the basement below, which also had water damage. Fortunately we have not yet had to fix the bathroom lighting fixtures. It's good so many people still give flowers. One year I delivered flowers for a local supermarket on Valentine's Day. That's a good way to make some extra, though occasional money. I took off from my day job and made close to $150 for delivering the flowers. Some of the drivers had done it for a long time, and they had vans and SUVs equipped to carry large numbers of vases of flowers. I've been online for close to twenty years now, though I'm far from being a techie, so it's easy to forget that many people with computers know even less than I do. This friend was annoyed because she's just switched from AOL (which I barely knew even still existed) to DSL access through AT&T. She liked the faster loading time, but one of her friends sends her stuff that could see through AOL's email but not through AT&T, which I thought strange. He was sending her attachments in eml and pss formats, which I'd never heard of. She could see the eml after doing a lot of clicking, but needed a special program for the pss. I told her to tell him to send her pictures in .jpg format, which is standard for image files, especially photographs. I'm glad she didn't need help with pci hosting, or I couldn't have helped her at all.

On apidexin reviews

We're still vacating our mother's house. She had so much stuff, it's unbelievable for me to think back and remember how many carloads of clothes I sold and donated in the past two months. And how many carloads of donations to Goodwill, and books to local libraries. And how many bags went to the garbage. And how many boxes of stuff my sister shipped back to her home near Boston. She had to hire movers for that. And still, the best stuff is going up for auction -- her furniture, knick knacks and household goods. The auction guy rented out The Sportsman's Club, and it should be starting in just a few minutes. People ask me if I'm going, and I'm not. It feels weird. I don't want my mother's stuff, but it's depressing to think about it being sold, because it makes her death seem final. Which of course it is, but it really brings it deeply to heart. I have to admit, I was underwhelmed. Perhaps I would have liked it better had I read it when it first came out, before all the hoopla and hype and record book sales and deals and movies. It was fun, though set up the potential for getting a lot more serious, which apparently the later novels do, so maybe I will enjoy them more if I ever do get around to reading them. In this one, he's not old enough yet to need acne treatment. Hermione is portrayed as just a goody goody girl, the kind boys hate because she studies hard and gets good grades. What got me was the very end where the head of the school adjusts points so Harry's "house" within the school comes out on top. This must be a British thing, or maybe it's just my lack of school spirit, because I just didn't care. I was satisfied with the final fight. She could have stopped the book there and let the house lose, so far as I'm concerned.

On free directory submissions

I've heard various radio commercials for action thrillers, including some by Vince Flynn, and so this week I read one of his novels, Consent to Kill, and got sucked into the narrative, though I'm not sure why particularly. He writes about a CIA assassin named Mitch Rapp. Rapp is the kind of guy I wish the CIA had one hundred of, but probably doesn't exist in reality. The contract company is probably also glamorized, though some do exist in reality of ex-Special Forces guys. A Saudi businessman who believes Rapp killed his son puts out a contract on Rapp, with an ex-East German Stasi as middleman, and an unlikely pair of French killers on the receiving end. Rapp's wife is killed in the explosion and he's badly injured but of course recovers within a few days to go after the killers. They all use computers for a lot more than free directory submissions. Yet at the end Rapp relents and lets the actual killers live, though I thought he should kill the man at least. It's strangely touching, probably over-romantic, but somehow takes the novel to a new level.

Therapores

Another movie that made me realize that Bollywood is consciously trying to influence Indian society is one I just watched with an all-star cast. Amitab and Jaya Bachchan are Shahrukh Khan's adoptive parents, and they later had a biological young son. Khan is dating Rani Mukerjee. All is well and lots of love until Khan meets and falls in love with Kajol who helps her father run a sweet shop in a working class area. She also has a young sister. Amitab wants Khan to marry the upper class Mukerjee, but Khan marries Kajol instead and is disowned, so runs off to London. He has a good life with a young son and raised the sister Pooja after their father's death. When his younger brother graduates from school he hears the story -- although he must have already known it -- and determines to repair the rift in the family, and of course lots of funny and dramatic things happen. But Amitab must eventually accept his daughter in law, and his new daughter in law her sister. Curiously, the grandson is underused. The emphasis is on the love between father and son, and the grandson is forgotten at the end. They don't use therapores either. Yes, Bollywood is on the side of romantic love and against the ancient tradition of parents arranging marriages, though I'm sure it's still common in much of India.

On acne skin care

I recently watched for the first time the movies of THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING and THE TWO TOWERS, and then watched for the second time THE RETURN OF THE KING, which I saw in a theater when it first came out. I was amazed that the climax scene in Mt Doom was much different than what I remembered, though still different than what Tolkien wrote, and I didn't like that change. The DVD version made it much longer, and only Frodo pushes Gollum off the ledge. I still prefer Tolkien's version, where Gollum falls because he's so happy he has his Precious back that he simply loses his balance. I insist that despite how everybody raves about how Peter Jackson is so faithful to Tolkien's vision that changing that drastically changed Tolkien's message that evil is its own downfall. Yes, good people must resist, but in the end the Ring is destroyed by the same creature it warped so that he not only needed acne skin care, but a total physical transformation to make him human again, but that was impossible, so he had to die, and it's appropriate the ring is destroyed by his death.

On the best diet pill

One of the more chilling movies I've watched recently is LUST, CAUTION by Ang Lee, but what can you expect from a man who likes gay cowboys? This movie is set in China during the Japanese occupation in World War 2. In Hong Kong, a group of students decide to assassinate a Chinese man who's collaborating with the Japanese. At that time, Hong Kong is not occupied. The Chinese man is from Shanghai and just visiting Hong Kong, so their planning is safe. One of the girls is given a fake identity to lure the collaborator into a trap. But he leaves Hong Kong before they can succeed. Years pass, the girl is in Shanghai, and meets the main boy who is now in the resistance. He gets her to revive the plan against the collaborating. He turns out to like rough sex, but she perseveres until they've having sex they both like. She eventually makes a choice to surrender to her sexual nature even though it means her death and that of her friends. This is a period when nobody wants the best diet pill, because they're lucky if they have enough to eat to stay alive. Or that the Japanese occupiers don't torture and kill them.

On custom rubber stamps

I also recently watched an interesting movie My Name is Khan starring Shahrukh Khan, one of the biggest film stars in the world. It's a plea for tolerance of Muslims. The plot synopsis doesn't make sense - it makes a lot more sense if you just watch it and follow the events. And it's effective, though its I'm not so sure its message is as timely as following 9/11. And I'm not sure whether he made it before or after an incident where he has trouble boarding a plane. Just because he's a film star he didn't get custom rubber stamps. Or maybe it's because his name is Khan, though I believe most Americans don't understand that name is Muslim. It's just exotic to them. It's different from normal Bollywood films. There's no singing and dancing. He plays a man with Asperger's Syndrome, and does a good job at it. He apparently was raised as a Muslim but married a Hindu, and their children are brought up in both religions. I respect this, but I'm sure he's more aware than I am that orthodox Islam doesn't allow this. I wish he'd aim a film at fanatical Muslim terrorists pleading with them to change into tolerant people, but that'd be asking to be assassinated. Pleading for tolerance from Americans is easy. Still, it's a worthwhile feel-good movie that is needed.

On a kick plate

However, I believe my favorite martial arts costume drama so far anyway is HOUSE OF THE FLYING DAGGERS by Zhang Yimou, maybe because it makes the best use of Zhang Ziyi who is incredibly beautiful and talented. She doesn't need a kick plate. There's a scene in the beginning of the film where she is supposedly an entertainer at the Peony Pavilion, but she's there only to trap the police into following her though the policeman thinks he's trapping her to expose the House of Flying Daggers rebel group. Despite playing a blind woman, she hits the drums with her long sleeves of her robe. It's an amazing effect. Later she and the two men wind up in a late fall birch forest running through a very beautiful woods, though it's in the Ukraine in reality, not China. And at the end, when the two men fight, in the middle of shooting it starts to snow, which was a gift, because Yimou continues the fight scene as the snow swirls around and it's great.

On ATV tires

In the future world of SWAN SONG, post-nuclear holocaust, everybody survives by scrounging for useful items that survived the destruction, such as ATV Tires maybe. And I have to wonder about something, the way McCammon describes the run up to the nuclear war. The Soviets are building up forces in a way that clearly makes it look as though they're preparing a first strike against the United States. If the president didn't allow United States submarines to attack the Soviet submarines, thus disrupting whatever they had going, the nuclear war might have been a lot worse, at least for the United States. He never tells us what the Soviets had in mind, but it's clear they were preparing for war. Maybe we would have been wiped out totally while they survived. In Thailand, I've seen large groups of people sitting together in a large room darkened like a theater, and singing together to the words appearing on the screen, which also include video stock footage related to the song. However, my lady and I went upstairs to a private room which also showed films with the words down below, and we had a microphone and amplifier, and someone to talk and sing with us, and of course we got a large dish of snacks and drinks. I can't read the Thai that they sang to, but the machine also had a large selections of songs in English, so I was forced to sing a few of those. The program window refused to get away after I started up, and I got a security email about how the latest automatic upgrade didn't work, even though it was showing that I was paid up through March 2011, which is true. So I tried to run the upgrade, but it didn't work. I turned the computer off, and the next day could not browse the net. I couldn't even look for or order a deep wrinkle cream, so I took it to a computer repair shop, where it's still waiting to be worked on.

On phentermine reviews

Recently I tried to read a book by thriller writer Jack Higgins, but just couldn't get past the first twenty or thirty pages. It was what I think of as "thin" fiction, and this effect was heightened because it seemed to be a continuation of a series. A character was in the hospital and we were supposed to get all bent out of shape about it, long before I had any reason to feel for her or her problem, or her relationship with another character. I suppose if you're a dedicated fan who's enjoyed the books that came before, you'll pick this one up and be into it right away like it's the latest episode of a soap opera. But I don't like books like that, unless they are much more constructed for new readers. I'd rather read phentermine reviews. I suppose someday I'll read one of Jack Higgins's first novels, that made him a bestseller, and enjoy them. But now he's riding on his reputation, so far as I can see.

On colon cleanse diet

I believe the idea of keeping your colon relatively clean is probably pretty smart. I'm not so sure it's a good idea to have colonics and enemas, unless your colon is blocked. Is there evidence that these are healthy for normal people? Maybe. The idea that having a lot of old shit clinging to the walls of your bowels is not healthy seems intuitively sensible. That doesn't make it true, but if you can get rid of it, so your bowels contain only the current shit that they're processing -- which is their job of course -- then that seems sensible. And eating a colon cleanse diet to clean out your colon seems more sensible that running a lot of water or coffee or other fluids in to clean them out.

On getting rid of belly fat

Some experts think that almost all of us have six pack abs. The problem is, they're buried underneath the flab. So if you really want your abs to look great, the solution to your problem is not in doing a thousand situps or crunches, but getting rid of belly fat. You have to eat so your body will burn stored fat. And it comes from all over your body. You can't tell your body to burn only your belly fat. And when you think about it, that's a good thing. Otherwise lots of guys would have great abs, in the middle of flabby chests and arms, puffy faces and fat thighs. Guys would look really bizarre. To have an overall muscular look, we need to lose weight all over, and the body does that naturally when you do eat well and exercise to burn fat instead of store it.

On apple bottom

I started reading an interesting book A THOUSAND SPLENDID SUNS by Khaled Hossini, about people in Afghanistan in recent decades. So far, it's sad, and there's little reason to believe the overall situation will get better, since I know the overall future of the country. It's still a mess. It had feudal leadership for many years, was gradually becoming modern, when the Soviets invaded, and it's been at war most of the time since then, or under a brutal dictatorship it chose over the period of chaos and warlordism and anarchy. So although I'm at the point where a little girl Laila and her friend the boy Tariq who lost a leg to a Soviet landmine are happy in childhood, it's hard to imagine their lives will improve, though hopefully they will get married since they love each other, so they know some happiness together. It's full of small details of daily life, which in Afghanistan does not include an apple bottom, which seem realistic, but it's hard for us outsiders to evaluate.

On Wholesaleinsurance.net is a great site

Part of the aggravation of reading RELENTLESS by Dean R Koontz is the author's wife, a children's artist who was raised by a family of survivalists who make such a good living blowing things up that they have a network of secrets shelters around the world, so they'll survive everything from nuclear war on down. They portrayed somewhat humorously in an exaggerated way, but with obvious approval. Well, I guess I can't criticize that, though I doubt many survivalists stock their shelters with books of which Koontz approves. In betting/actuarial terms, they're putting down huge efforts on the small chance that civilization will go under in their lifetimes. Of course, if it actually does, they've got a lot better chance of surviving than the rest of us who are unprepared. The main character is a psychiatrist who's awakened one night by his young adult daughter telling him and his wife there was someone in the house. She was right. And the guy gets out his gun and kills an intruder who's coming up the stairs. A second guy runs out the front door. Then life pretty much falls apart for everyone concerned. The second guy is a young psycho who thinks he's God's gift to women, even though he hasn't used any natural male enhancement and normally doesn't do burglaries. The psychiatrist finds himself crucified by the press. His wife winds up dead. Actually, there's probably no reason to try to keep up with links to new directories. It's not that critical. There are many other ways I should be using more of to get a lot more backlinks, but it was something I was set up and prepared to do, and practiced at, so I just went back to the list and started submitting again. Lots of directories approve or deny the submissions right away. Many others take their sweet time to do that, because I never pay for these submissions, I just choose the free option. It's unlikely but not impossible. I just could not believe he'd be allowed to commit his crimes at a sex club. Now that I think about it, it'd also be improbable though not impossible that he'd be able to use his contacts to recruit his personal thugs former government agents who could clean up behind him. I mean, this is not likely writing and posting appetite suppressant reviews, this is covering up horrible crimes. I guess there may be people who could cover up, for enough money. But as usual, Patterson leaves open ends. Who went to Trinidad to cover up for Zeus? How did he manage to get away with it in a Trinidad slum neighborhood? I didn't find that killing at all credible, and nobody was ever held to account for it.

On Asus

A fascinating book I'm now in the middle of reading is THE GENIUS OF THE BEAST by Howard Bloom. He's covering a lot of territory, from stone age technology to Asus. Basic thesis is that our desires and fantasies are good, and capitalism is good for fulfilling them. Plus, he continually refers to the Universe as a secular genesis device. Apparently he's an atheist, though why I don't know, since he seems to have a strong vision of the universe and humanity as have purpose. Perhaps he's overreacting to some exposure to anti-science religion from some zealot. There are a lot of zealots on each side, though I think most people take both for granted.

On rolling briefcase

I think it'd be smart for all wealthy people tempted to put their money into hedge funds to read THE BIG SHORT by Michael Lewis. It tells the story of some fund managers who actually did see the financial crisis coming. They bought credit default swaps to short the market for subprime mortgage backed securities, so they made a fortune when the crisis hit in 2007. One group invested only their own money. Another guy did run a fund with investors' money. But many others lost fortunes because they didn't do the same due diligence on how poor the subprime mortgages were. Lewis goes into how many people may have had a rolling briefcase, but were otherwise stupid and unsophisticated. One guy was paid $26 million to vet CDOs, but really made his money from volume of sales, so he was cool with them. He apparently felt no obligation to honestly evaluate them. But neither did the rating agencies S&P and Moody's. They're portrayed as made up of people too stupid to get a job on Wall Street to make the real money.

On receipt printer

I read a terrific book, Trick or Treatment, The Undeniable Facts About Alternative Medicine by Simon Singh and Edzard Ernest, due today according to the paper printed by a receipt printer at the library when I checked it out. It examines major classes of alternative medicine, especially acupuncture, chiropractory and homeopathy. I guess I'm not such a fan of alternative medicine as I thought, because according to them exercise and healthy supplements such as fish oil for Omega 3 are now mainstream medicine. I think many doctors would be surprised to learn that. And I never cared about acupuncture, thinking all those needles are crazy. I didn't know much about what chiropractors do, and now I know not to ever go to one. I learned about homeopathy a few years ago and was amazed to find out people still buy its stuff.

On door locks

Another subject Gina Kolata ignores in her book ULTIMATE FITNESS is diet. She does at one point decide that eating something very sweet is best for her while on a long Spinning session, but she doesn't go into the scientific basis. She accepts at face value the caloric theory. She doesn't go into the science behind The Zone and other balanced diets which strive to keep carbohydrate consumption to a safe level. She debunks creatine, but not carbohydrate loading. She debunks the idea that building muscle tissue helps you lose weight, but fails to even mention, let alone address, the idea that exercise helps people lose weight because it changes their metabolisms, especially for the twenty-four hours after exercising. She is scornful of the diets and diet foods sold by fitness companies, because that's marketing not science, but doesn't investigate the science of nutrition and exercise nutrition. You won't find out from reading this book that many Olympic gold medalists are on the Zone diet through Dr. Sears. She keeps the subjects behind door locks, and doesn't even mention them, except to indirectly ridicule them by mentioning some wacky diets that earlier athletes followed, implying that all special diets for athletes are wacky and ineffective.

On diet pills

Recently I ghost wrote a white paper for a company helping to provide cloud computing services, which is sort of a technological way of putting large companies and their typical data centers on diet pills. I'd heard of cloud computing, and somehow got an idea about how it used other computers, so it didn't seem as revolutionary as I'd heard, and didn't have a reason to check it out further. So this time I had to do a lot of research on it, and it's sort of interesting. No only will it help companies cut cost, but it helps average people do things. For example, I need to use some storage to back up my hard drive. I've known that, but haven't done it yet, but now I know where it's very cheap. And if you want to start a company up, you don't need to buy your own servers any more.

On apidexin reviews

I've started reading what is, so far at least, a terrific new crime thriller -- Fear the Worst by Linwood Barclay. There are no apidexin reviews in it, but this is not a standard cliched story of a missing teenager turning out to be a lot different person than her parents think, although it's obviously that too. The hero is a likable car salesperson whose life was holding together although he had to deal with the ex-wife he still loves living with a local car dealer magnate, and the boyfriend's 19 year old son has moved back in, so he's also with the 17 year old daughter of the hero, but now with him for the summer, until she doesn't return home from work one day, and he soon discovers she was not the desk clerk for the Just Inn Time as she'd been claiming. And now someone is trying to kill him to find her. Scenes are told largely through dialogue. He's a good guy, not bumbling but not a tough guy either, but driven by love of his daughter no matter what.

On cigarillos

Recently I've been reading the book Common Sense on Mutual Funds by John Bogle, and one thing that strikes me so far. This book is 600 pages long and full of graphs and charts, and full of his inside information on the mutual fund industry (not on cigarillos) after his long career in it including being a pioneer of the index fund and other low cost funds, and comes up with a lot of interesting observations and conclusions based on his data. I have to conclude that this is a very valuable book because its content does not match its title. If it included only common sense it'd still be valuable, but it's incredibly valuable because it does include information and data and conclusions available nowhere else, even from other critics of the mutual fund industry. The conclusion that in the long run all stock classifications perform the same, and that almost all mutual funds as a class underperform the market by almost exactly their expense ratios, are NOT common sense, but great to know.

On prevera

I recently read an interesting book, The Unthinkable: Who Survives When Disaster Strikes -- and Why by Amanda Ripley. She's a reporter for TIME MAGAZINE, but I'm not holding that against her, since this book is so good. She interviewed a number of survivors of various disasters, from September 11 to Katrina to a historical country club fire to an airplane crash, and so on. She also interviewed many scientists who are studying how people react during such situations. She debunks the myth of panic. Most of the time, people are too calm in situations. They go into denial and don't react as quickly as they should, and many die as a result. For instance, during the Beverly Hills Club fire, people who were told to get out of the building and where the exits were, remained sitting in their seats and died there. No rational explanation except they refused to believe their nice evening out was being disrupted. They no longer needed prevera, because they not only didn't panic, they didn't even get excited enough to exit the buildings with most people.

On diet pills for sale

I think it's a good idea that if you're going to buy diet pills, that you look for diet pills for sale, to save yourself money. You can spend a lot of money on stuff like that, and in the end you wonder where it's all gone to, and what you got for your money besides a brief speedy feeling, and after a while that wears off so you don't get that. I know there are a lot of such sellers on ebay, and probably a lot who have their own websites as well. Myself, I kind of wonder where those people get their supplies from that they are able to sell them so cheaply. Maybe they are able to contact wholesale suppliers and buy them for wholesale prices because they buy in large quantity. That's something most of us retain customers aren't willing to do, because we don't want to have a twenty year supply on hand, and certainly not to pay for that much at once, unless we know we can resell them on ebay or another website to repay the costs.

On age spot creams

I've been paying a lot more attention to the health of my skin lately than I usually do, because it's been itching terribly, though I haven't figured out why. Therefore, I'm now more open to the idea of using age spot creams to get rid of the various lumps, spots, blood blisters and moles I have. For a long time I resisted the idea of putting hydrocortisone creams on my skin, because I'm afraid of the effects on my liver and eicosanoid balance. However, the simple truth is that nothing else seems to work, at least to really reduce the inflammation and blisters. Lots of other stuff works in the short term, but doesn't solve the problem. I still don't put cortisone over all my itching skin. I'm still scared to use that much at once. I am focusing it right now just on a limited area that has been the worst. And I haven't had an itching episode for days. I still use an aloe lotion on other areas, and they seem to be improving a lot as well, thank goodness.

On LCD HDTV

I wish I had more time to watch movies. I'd have satellite TV and yet would still get them from a library and/or Netflix and buy some. My local library branch has an Asian section, which includes DVDs of Asian movies, and I tried out some Indian movies, so now I'm a fan of Bollywood movies. I like the way they try to entertain you in an unabashed, unashamed way. Hollywood entertains, but tries to disguise it. They make their emotional appeals under a guise of being cool. Bollywood wants you to laugh and cry and goes all out to make you do so. So sometimes they are over the top even for me, but others work very well if you accept their premises. But alas these days I don't have time to watch them. And when I say it's long, I mean it's long. It's the longest, thickest thriller I can ever recall reading. Unfortunately, sometime yesterday afternoon or night I misplaced it. I kind of want to finish it, but I also kind of don't care that much. It's not really that compelling, for the length. But good enough that, having read so far, I kind of want to finish it. It revolves around the subject of dogfighting, though I think it came out before Michael Vick was arrested and made that a well-known subject. Also, it's "unfair" in the sense the mayor confronted with the bad guys has all kinds of tough old friends to call on to help him, including one who flew in from fighting in Afghanistan. Most people would not have these resources. Still, before the book is over somebody is going to be burned with an electric grill or in some way or other threatened with torture as well as death - including by being killed and eaten by the dogs.

On the top diet pill

I have to admit one thing about THE SOURCE, its depiction of Jews as tied to so many complicated laws was unappealing. I knew there were a lot of restrictions in early books in the Bible, but I didn't realize so many people had spent so much time and mental effort laying everything down in agonizing detail, and still expecting modern day Jews to follow these restrictions. I can certainly understand why modern Jews want to ignore all these rigid laws and their bureaucracy. I can understand Christians for thinking why bother, when Jesus has already gone beyond them. You don't have to accept Jesus as the Messiah to just say that what was beneficial to ancestors trying to survive in the desert is not so important in the modern era. The Talmud was compiled after Jesus, and just vastly complicated things even more than what Jesus rebelled against. And I wonder what the rules say about modern creations such as the top diet pill? I liked it, but not as much as so many other people do. It is an interesting book telling the story of a small (fictional) area in Israel and how it reflects the history of humanity especially in the area of religion, beginning in prehistoric times when people were just beginning to discover and use agriculture. It was interesting, and of course it is about the development of the Jewish people and religion. I've heard of the Talmud but this is the first time I've seen it explained, and how the religion developed from Israel to modern times. I'd never seen the connection between Jews as they were living in Europe and people living in Israel. I don't know how much of what he says is accepted by Jews themselves. I'd be reluctant to write such a book about any group I wasn't a part of, but I'm at least now clearer on the issues. However, this book does not have any women concerned about how to fade stretch marks. It's not of concern to survival.

On human growth hormone supplements

I remember when human growth hormone supplements first hit the marketplace back around 1996, through network marketing companies. I believe what I tried was probably one of the very first such products. The friend who introduced me swore it did a lot for him. I didn't feel any effects myself, but I rarely do, so maybe it did make somewhat younger and I just didn't notice. I don't know whether I don't feel supplements because I'm so bad off I need more nutrition to feel better or because I'm in such good health the supplements can't improve me by much. I did get a surge of energy everyday from LifeTronix's AM drink, though I can't recall the name at the moment. Unfortunately, it was profoundly disappointing, just too much to believe. It concerned an off the books special ops killer in Vietnam brought out to investigate whether a general's missing in action presumed dead was really dead. He stumbles on a whole group of such vets living in Bangkok, without explaining how they got by without passports. I don't believe he even went to Bangkok - all his descriptions seem to be out of a book, and all characters add an "s" to "baht" to make it plural, which is not accurate and not reflective of how anybody, Thai or falang, actually speaks or writes. It's 1,000 baht, not 1,000 bahts. It does concern a lot of substance abuse, heroin not the best weight loss supplements, but he seems to think the poppies are grown in northern Thailand instead of Burma. But if he couldn't even go to Bangkok he didn't go to Mae Sae.

On document management software

Every company these days needs document management software, just as years ago they needed properly maintained file cabinets. Thanks to computers we create more documents than ever, and a company must be able to access them whenever needed. The information on them must be tied in to the rest of the system. Some of them will be generated from other systems information, such as accounting totals creating balance sheets and income statements. And they must maintain a record for accountability purposes, to reward those who do good work and punish someone who's lazy or who goofs up. Clients and customers are also computerized and so they need electronic versions of documents for their own records. The number of possible file formats makes this all complex.

On walk in bathtubs

Ah, walk in bathtubs certainly sound luxurious. I wonder how many are installed in Ladue. There must be lots in Beverly Hills, Miami, Upper Manhattan and other wealthy elite enclaves in the United States. I even have to wonder how they work. I mean, you must have to shut the door behind you to keep water from leaking out. And how do they related to sauna baths and whirlpools? Something else for the maid to keep clean. And proper hygiene would be important, because disease could certainly breed easily in such hot, humid environments. I'd be inclined to use HTH and other forms of chlorine, but that's supposedly bad for you, so maybe there are effective but safe alternatives, such as ozone for disinfecting your swimming pool.

On electronics

It's very cold here in St Louis for the month of May. I'm hoping that does not signal another cold and rainy summer like we had last year. Though actually I've been hoping I wouldn't be here for the summer. Now I don't know. Maybe I will be. I've worked hard. Some things have worked out. Some things haven't. Nothing has worked as well as I hoped or certainly not as fast as I hoped. Maybe I should write something about electronics. I'm just not up on the latest gadgets such as the Apple iPad, though I'm hoping that will increase some of my sales. However, I've been hit and miss over the years, depending on my circumstances. The technology has advanced a lot. There're a lot of nutrients available now that Adele Davis never heard about. I'm sure science will continue to find more. It's also a good reason to take superfood-based vitamins, so you get the stuff that nobody even knows is in there. We need real food, but superfoods are the best. Stuff like chlorella and blue green algae.

On how to treat acne

One of the most searched for things on Google is about how to treat acne. Seems a lot of teenagers and young adults have this problem. Maybe older adults too, I don't know. I do know the radio stations I hear now have a lot different commercials than the ones I heard as a kid, even though the music is similar. Erectile dysfunction instead of acne creams. Funeral homes instead of drag racing strips. They do still advertise local concerts, though I haven't been to one since forever. It seems silly to go to one given by somebody because they had hits 30 years ago. I'd feel out of place at a modern concert, even if I knew who it was and liked their music. And I don't have time to go out anyway.

On best ab workout

The one part of the body everybody wants to trim and firm and build up and in the case of men transform into a six-pack is the abdomen. There is a lot of sense and a lot of vanity to this. In martial arts the center of our motion is right about at the navel. Yoga also focuses on this. Pilates emphasizes strengthening our Core. If our lower back and belly are weak, strong legs and arms can't compensate. Just try to lift weights while you're nauseated. Doesn't work. So everybody is looking for the best ab workout. I'm convinced that the traditional sit up and the crunches are not the way to go. Some fitness gurus advocate doing whole body exercises that do strength ab muscles while you're doing the complete workout, and this makes the most sense.

On term life insurance

I enjoy reading about investments, but I have to admit I'm really not any more excited than the average person to read about term life insurance and whole life insurance and how they're different and so on. I guess that's why I haven't read the book on using whole life insurance to save up money even though the author sent it to me. I took advantage of her offer, I must admit. Plenty of prospects have taken advantage of mine without buying! Plus I'm just really skeptical of how whole life insurance can be made into a viable investment plan. I want to put my money into investments that pay dividends and interest. Whole life pays some interest but it's low compared to you putting money into fixed income investments yourself. And at that stage of my life I prefer equities. Sometimes I do when I'm traveling, and I'm not used to the bed or the time zone, especially when I'm sharing the bed, which I'm not used to, though I'd like to be. But not in my home town, which is why I prefer to travel. It's more fun, although can be tiring. Usually I go to bed sort of late. Though actually when I delivered pizzas for Dominos I got used to going to bed even later. Weeknights when I closed I'd be lucky to get home by 12:30 and with many managers it was one or even later. And on Friday and Saturday nights that was 2:30 or 3:00 or even later. And of course that would screw up my next day. Of course, it's still early -- it's only been active for about a week, so I shouldn't expect much. I guess it's buried under so many other weight loss titles. But since it promises to show you how to lose weight from relaxing I thought people might go for it instead of the ones that make it seem hard. We all want it to be easy. We all want diet pills that actually work. We all want the simple, fast and easy solution. And marketers know that. Maybe I should try to get a review from the forum of other Amazon writers. They will understand it not being in my name. She told me I didn't realize what the job market was like. I really don't think it was nearly as bad then as it was when I graduated from college in 1978, when unemployment was very high and the economy was trying to place millions of newly graduated baby boomers. That's my excuse for taking a government job. However, now I have to admit that from what I here it is again that hard to find a job, and many new college graduates are still working fast food type jobs instead of something in their field. So I'm glad my niece got out of college and hired before these troubles.

On Nintendo Wii

I have to admit that Blood and Gold the story of Maurius is by far not the best of the vampire books. I'd probably have stopped reading it except I feel some sort of duty because it is by Anne Rice. I haven't read all her books but I feel obligated to try, or at least to read the ones I've wound up buying. The section in Constantinople was the best so far. He has to do battle with an older vampire name Eudoxia, and then falls for her love Zenobia, but has to leave everyone to protect the King and the Queen. It's all more entertaining than Nintendo Wii, but that's just my taste. He's telling the story to a new vampire who is very old and in a Scandinavian country, though we don't know why Maurius is there. Maybe that's in a book I've forgotten or haven't read yet.
